Taqueria Ramiro & Sons in Alameda

I got a spinach, chicharrones, refried beans burrito and it was the best thing ever. They are super fast and preparing everything. I soo bummed I didn't take a picture.

The food is fresh and delicious, and the kitchen is clean. They make their chili sauce in-house and it is delicious. The service is friendly and is fast because it is cash only. Love this place.

Late night at the beach, we had a hankering for burritos on the journey home. Called in our order and trekked over, less than 10 mins from the beach. My daughter’s chicken Quesadilla was dry, I’m not sure if it had any cheese on it and the flour tortilla was so wet & soggy it was impossible to eat. My husband complained his burrito had scarce meat & cheese on it. My wet burrito had half a can of red sauce poured on and lacked any crunchy of veg. My burrito had plenty of meat and it was flavorful. Overall, we were rather disappointed. Not sure if we’d try them again. If so, next time a sit down meal.

Always solid. The best burritos in Alameda. My husband has been coming to Ramiro and Sons for 25 years. Never had a bad burrito or experience.

The chicharones plate I had was excellent! Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside with just the right amount of saltiness and seasonings!

This is a great old school taqueria, nothing fancy (especially the decor) but the food is great. Pictured are the Super Tacos with the tortillas fried, make sure you ask them to fry the tortillas, it really makes them amazing. The carnitas and the chicharonnes are great but they usually sell out of the chicharonnes by 2:00.

No change since my last visit. Definitely an old stand by. Carnitas Super Burrito Special with soda $9.25 is a fair value. Carnitas is not salty, tortilla is warmed in the steamer. For an extra treat you can order half Chicharones and half Carnitas, to die for. Still popular with the high school students. I will be back again within the next 10 years, that is soon enough. Cash only.

Just a simple taqueria that offers great food, fair prices and undeniably quick service! Sometimes those guys have 6 different orders taken verbally that they are working on and I think I've only ever had 1 item ever be wrong... After 25 years of patronage I'd say thats a darn good record!

For everyone that loves this like I do..... they open until 11am .... it says on here that it opens at 9am which is incorrect. It's 950 am currently and they dnt open for a while lol

Food is amazing. Good portions as well. I know the restaurant doesn't look great from the outside and the inside. They could improve the place. Decorating, remodeling.They only take cash. A ATM is available in there tho.It is not expensive and really good. So don't pay attention to the decor. Wish they would be open till 11pm I would come more often.

However, after glancing over the menu I decided to get an carne burrito for myself, a chicharron burrito (to-go) for the fiancé and my coworker ordered two super tacos (one chicharron and one chicken) and we shared a side of guac and chips. The chips were fresh but the guac was so bland. Now onto the carne burrito, it was also really bland! The meat didn't taste freshly grilled either, it tasted as though it's been sitting in some juices too long so it was more braised. My coworker said the tacos were messy and the meat were dry. Overall, it was a disappointing lunch since we both broke keto for this!

Hands down the best taqueria burritos in town! Grew up on frequent visits here, especially when I attended Alameda High. Now that I've moved away, whenever I come home to visit, I need to get my chicken burrito fix!! Regular chicken burrito with rice, cheese, pico de gallo and hot sauce...so so good!!

First time and wow it was amazing! Can't wait to go again next week.

Best street style tacos and probably the best quesadilla in the east bay !

Food is ok price is average for taste. I ordered chicken super burrito and steak nachos. The burrito was food passable, it had flavour and was alright, other than it being greasy it had more flavor than the flavourless nachos. The steak was dry . It wasnt a good cut of steak that should be used for nachos. They used a cut that would do better for a roast.

I have only the best memories of going here with my family as a young child. I am now 26, and I dream about when I’ll be able to come back. Best burrito of my life. So much love!

Best Mexican food in Alameda.

Good burritos at great prices. It's a popular place, but they move the line quick. Be ready with your order, because they ask for it while they are preparing the order ahead of yours. Great low-key local joint.

Best burritos I've had in the Bay Area. Great meat. Tortilla steamed to perfection. Excellent hot sauce.

Taqueria Ramiro & Son's is the best. Super yummy, fresh, fast, reasonably priced and delicious. Don't let the lines or exterior facade keep you from eating here. Most people get it to go. The kitchen is clean and well kept. The food is truly amazing.

I love going here, they serve the best burritos and tacos in town. Service is a little fast but they usually have a line of customers. Beware the high school lunch rush, the place gets packed fast.

Decent prices, good burritos. We just found this place about 2 months ago, and we've been back 4 or 5 times. It's a family favorite.

Taqueria Ramiro & Sons is the best burrito shop on the island. I have been going there for over 20 years. They have tasty selection of meats. Employees are top-notch and take care of your every need. They are cash-only but there is an ATM on site if you need it. Highly recommended!

Best classic Super Taco

The restaurant is cash only, but they have an ATM in-house and there is also a Wells Fargo a couple blocks away, among other banks. The chicharrón tacos and carnitas are my favorite options. The regular tacos are very filling with the included rice and beans, almost mini burritos. The smaller tacos de plaza, pictured below, only include the meat, onions, cilantro and salsa, and are a better choice for a snack or to try out a few different meats.

They offer a great range of fresh food. I enjoy dining here. The employees are always friendly, pricing is affordable and the place is always kept clean.

Ordered a Regular burrito with chicken. While making it, they put steak instead. I decided to try it out, didnt want to toss a good burrito. Made the right choice. That burrito was delicious.🌯

Best Taqueria in town! Always worth the wait in line. I come here every time I'm in town visiting family. The guys here make the BEST burritos, the cashiers are very friendly, and the owner is the sweetest! My boyfriend got a chicken burrito and I had cheese enchiladas. Everything was perfect. Don't forget to buy a paleta for dessert!

Been coming to Ramiro’s for as long as I can remember. I know I’m being biased but I digress. I’ve never had any problems with ordering, the food is over 9000 and staff are hella cool. They only take cash but they do have an ATM if you’re in a pinch.
